Framed Hermes Scarf
65 grams of silk from 250 cocoons, 90 centimeters square. During the twentieth century, the Hermès scarf has become a standard for good workmanship and discreet luxury, requiring up to two years of work to produce a collectible work of art that is an expression of its epoch. Six to eight weeks are required to meticulously prepare as many silk-screen printing frames as there are colors. For instance, in 1994, the “Celebrations of the Sun-King” required 1,200 hours of work to make its 35 frames. A true collectable. Value: $1,500

"Jubilee" by Samuel Price
This elegant portrait of a horse and rider was created by a technique called collage or photo-montage, and requires many hours of assembling, cutting and pasting hundreds of tiny paper pieces onto canvas to create a finished work of art. Samuel Price believes in the use of accessible materials as part of the natural process of creating art. Early in his career, he began cutting up magazines and newspapers lying around in his studio and gluing them to a canvas as a means of necessity. Only later, he learned how much art history preceded this natural progression of using everyday items as a valuable means of expression. “Playtime” Bronze Limited Edition Statue by Ghiglieri
“Playtime” is a piece for the serious investor/collector. The statue is of a mare and her foal-- the depth of maternal love and joy is evident in the way the statuesque mare runs proudly beside her lively young foal. The artist, Lorenzo Ghiglieri, is internationally famous. In 1994, he was selected to sculpt the “Official American Bald Eagle," now on display at the White house and part of the permanent collection. "Hudson River" Oil Painting by Larry Gray
This is a dramatic and atmospheric painting by the internationally recognized American painter, Larry Gray.
