Since 1970, Menlo has been home to top show jumping and horse showing in Northern California. Named Nor Cal Horse Show of the Year five times, Menlo has been nationally recognized as one of the top horse shows in North America for the last two years by PhelpsSports.com. Most recently in 2008, Menlo has been recognized as one of the Horse Shows of the Year by the National Show Hunter Hall of Fame. Menlo will once again host the World Champion Hunter Rider South West Regional Awards of the American Hunter-Jumper Foundation.
Menlo showcases hunters and jumpers from the West Coast, Canada and Mexico with classes running simultaneously in three separate rings daily. From the Hunter rings where the horses are judged on the manners and style of the competitor to the Jumper ring where power and speed dictate Menlo has something for all. The Olympic sport of Grand Prix Show Jumping where equine athletes compete over obstacles as big as 5'6" in height and as much as four feet in width is not to be missed.
Menlo is also home to some of the most affluent vendors world-wide. Shopping enthusiasts will be delighted by our Vendor Row boutiques offering Hermes of Paris, fine jewelry, equine apparel, horse care products, home furnishings, fine art and sculpture and the Shows' commemorative T-shirts and sportswear.
Additionally Menlo provides great dining and entertainment options for its sponsors, guests and exhibitors. Lunch is served daily on the grounds and in the Club House. Full bar service is available in the Club House and on Vendors Row throughout the event. Menlo hosts numerous evening dinners and wine and beer tastings. |
